1/350 USS RENSHAW DDE-499 CONVERSION SET

We have sold out, but I am leaving the page here as a reference for anybody who has a set and needs to see how it goes together.

We have found a few of the old 1/350 DDE conversions for the Tamiya USS Fletcher kit. We are offering these to you at a sepcial close-out price of $30 each. There are no instructions (we didn't find those) but here are some photos and a line drawing to help you build the set.

STEP 1

Assemble the Mk 108 Weapon Alpha ASW Projector by inserting the Launcher(E) as shown in the Mount (D). Glue the completed weapon to the Fwd Deckhouse, centering it on the barbette. Glue the Pilothouse (C) to the Deckhouse using the tabbed slot as a guide.

STEP 2

Assemble the 3"/50 Twin mounts by gluing two guns into each base. This conversion only need two mounts, but three are provided. The large square at the back end of the guns is the feed chute and goes up. Glue your mounts into the tubs as shown in the desired angles. Add the Mk56 Director to the top of the Director House as shown.

Step 3

The completed assemblies will glue to the hull in their obvious orientation to match this drawing (click to enlarge). The installed items are shaded gray.
