USS FLETCHER

Revell has hit a home run with this kit! For nearly fifty years, the only large scale kit of the Fletcher class was the Lindberg Blue Devil kit. This kit is as advanced over the Lindbergh kits as the Fletcher was over the four-pipers of World War One.

 

Here are some images of the prototype photoetch sheet. Some details have been changed and refined, but the final production sheet is largely represented here.

144-020 USS Fletcher Turret & Whaleboat Upgrade set

This set comes with six "turrets" and two whaleboats. The turrets are corrected versions of the kit gun mounts and there are three of each, the upper mount housings and lower mount housings with the reinforced roof.

144-601 USS Fletcher Anti-Skid Decal  $10 plus S&H

This is a continuous film decal printed on a Xerox color solid ink printer (similar to ALPS printers). The sheet contains all the walkway patterns one will need for the kit out-of-the-box plus extras that can be used with our resin detail sets.

 

144-602 1/144 Fletcher Class Destroyer Decals

This decal sheet is designed to allow the modeler to accentuate the Revell 1/144 USS Fletcher. The set includes:

  1. Generic 108” counter-shaded numbers for the bow of postwar units
  2. Generic 24” black and 24” white numbers for the bows of wartime camouflaged units.
  3. Generic 24” counter-shaded numbers for the bow of postwar units
  4. Names for select early round-bridge Fletcher units and notable square-bridge Fletcher units
  5. Draft marks for the bow and stern in black & white.
  6. Watertight integrity markings for hatches.
Markings for the preserved Greek destroyer Velos and the names for 40 US Navy ships are included.

350-601 USS Fletcher Anti-Skid Decal $5 plus S&H

Nearly the same decal as 144-601, except printed in 1/350 scale an usable on many different Allied ships as repaired or refitted in US Navy yards during WWII. This scale allows more patterns to be inserted in the allotted space.
